समयोचितपद्यमालिका - पाप पुण्य फल

त्रिभिर्वर्षैस्त्रिभिर्मासैस्त्रिभिः पक्षैस्त्रिभिर्दिनैः ।
अत्युत्कटैः पुण्यपापैरिहैव फलमश्नुते ॥

If a deed you do has extraordinary consequences (either good or bad), then you will face its consequences in this life (and in this world) only. That could be with in 3 years, or 3 months, or 3 fortnights or just 3 days.
