तेषां प्रकाशनदशा च महीसुरैश्चेत्
    तानंतरेण निपतेत् क्व नु मत्प्रणामः ॥

- चंपूरामायण, बालकाण्ड

tasya pramA cha vachanaiH kRutaketaraiH chet ।
teShAm prakAshanadashA cha mahIsuraiH chet
tAnantareNa nipatet kva nu mat praNAmaH ॥

- champUrAmAyaNa, bAlakANDa

It is well understood that a good death is obtained only by following Dharma through out the life. That is possible only by reciting and understanding the scriptures (including the Vedas). That is achieved only the help of the Gods on earth who illuminate the directions here with they jist of the scriptures (perhaps teachers). So, who else should I pay my salutations to if not for them?

- रामायण, बाल

dhik balam kShatriya balam brahma teho balam balam ।
ekena brahma daNDena sarva astrANi hatAni me ॥

- rAmAyaNa, bAla kANDa

Disgrace on all the strengths that is derived from muscle power. It is the brilliance of knowledge that is more powerful. By his one master stroke, all my weapons are destroyed. (This was uttered by Vishvamitra after losing to Vasishta in a fight)

- Ramayana, Bala Kanda
