मनुस्मृति - विद्या

यथा काष्ठमयो हस्ती यथा चर्ममयो मृगः |
पुमान्यस्चानधीयानः त्रयस्ते नाम बिभ्रति ||

An elephant made out of sticks, a deer made out of just skin (not speed) and a person without education are all useless. Their only accomplishment is to be counted as an elephant, deer or a man.
