हितोपदेश - मित्रलाभ - अल्पकैरपि संहतिः

संहतिः श्रेयसी पुंसां स्वकुलैरल्पकैरपि |
तुषेणापि परित्यक्तः तण्डुलो न प्ररोहति ||

Success comes to only those people who stick by their fellow beings even if they are weak. A seed of rice can not grow into a plant if it abandons the husk.
