मनुस्मृति - स्त्री

स्त्रियां तु रोचमानायां सर्वं तद्रोचते कुलम् |
तस्यां त्वरोचमानायां सर्वमेव न रोचते ||

If the women in the family are happy, then the whole family will be happy. If they are sad (or dissatisfied) then the entire clan will be made unhappy.
