न तत् समाचरेद्धीरो यत् परोऽस्य विगर्हयेत् ।
यथात्मनस्तथान्येषां दारा रक्ष्या विपश्चिता ॥

A noble man will never do any deeds that will attract criticism (honest). Such a person will protect other people's wives just as he would have if it were his wife in trouble.
