पञ्चतंत्र - मित्रभेद - राजा

न विना पार्थिवो भृत्यैर्न भृत्याः पार्थिवं विना ।
तेषां च व्यवहारोऽयं परस्परनिबंधनः ॥

na vinA pArthivo bhRutyaiH na bhRutyAH pArthivam vinA ।
teShAm cha vyavahAro ayam paraspara nibandhanaH ॥

The King can not lead a king's life without the servants. The servants owe their livelyhood to the king. Their relationship is therefore mutually dependent - equally.
