मनुस्मृति - प्रायश्चित्त

ख्यापनेनानुतापेन तपसाऽध्ययनेन च ।
पापकृन्मुच्यते पापात्तथा दानेन चापदि ॥

- मनुस्मृति

A sinner will earn his redemption by doing the following: talking to others about his sin, feeling remorse, doing penance, studying and being generous in charity.

- Manu Smriti

मनुस्मृति - पश्चाताप

कृत्वा पापं हि सन्तप्य तस्मात्पात्प्रमुच्यते ।
नैवं कुर्यां पुनरिति निवृत्त्या पूयते तु सः

- मनुस्मृति

A sinner will get his redemption from the sin and becomes pure if he truly feels remorse for his act and wows not to repeat it ever.

- Manu Smriti

मनुस्मॄति - द्वितीयं न समाचरेत्

अज्ञानाद्यदि वा ज्ञानात्कृत्वा कर्म विगर्हितम् |
तस्माद्विमुक्तिमिन्विच्छन् द्वितीयं न समाचरेत् ||

- मनुस्मॄति

One may have committed a sin by chance or intentionally. If he wants redemption from it, then he must never repeat it.
