भागवत - असाधवः


संति ह्यसाधवो लोके दुर्मैत्राश्छद्मवेषिणः ।
तेषामुदेत्यघं काले रोगः पातकिनामिव ॥

santi hi asAdhavaH loke durmaitrAH ChadmaveShiNaH ।
teShAm udetyagham kAle rogaH pAtakinAm iva ॥

There are rogues in this world who become bad friends and who are roaming in disguise (of noble men). Their sin will catch up with them at appropriate time - like how disease catches up with other sinners.

रामायण - अरण्य - पापि


उद्वेजनीयो भूतानां नृशंसः पापकर्मकृत् ।
त्रयाणामपि लोकानामीश्वरोऽपि न तिष्ठति ॥

udvejanIyo bhUtAnAM nRushamsaH pApa karma kRut ।
trayAnAm api lokAnAm eeshvaro api na tiShThati ॥

If a king behaves in such a way to make his subjects more anxious (and afraid) by his sinful acts, then it does not matter even if he is the lord of three worlds. He will still perish.
