प्रबंधचिंतामणि - शलभः

उज्वलगुणमभ्युदितं
    क्षुद्रो द्रष्टुं न कथमपि क्षमते ।
दग्ध्वा तनुमपि शलभः
    दीप्तं दीपार्चिषं हरति ॥

    kShudro draShTum na kathamapi kShamate ।
dagdhvA tanumapi shalabhaH
    dIptaM dIpArchiShaM harati ॥

A wicked person can never be at peace if he sees a noble man prosper. He will do anything to harm the noble man. A moth is ready to get burnt in the process of putting out the flame.
