पञ्चतंत्र - अपरीक्षितकारक - बुद्धिमान्

यः सततं परिपृच्छति शृणोति संधारयत्यनिशं ।
तस्य दिवाकरकिरणैर्नलिनीव विवर्धते बुद्धिः ॥

yaH satataM paripRicChati shRiNoti saMdhArayti anishaM ।
tasya divAkarakiranaiH nilini iva vivardhate buddhiH ॥

He will become a wise man who will keep asking questions, listens to answers and contemplates on each of them. His knowledge will bloom like a lotus when sun rays fall on it.

पञ्चतंत्र - अपरीक्षतकारक - बुद्धि

न यत्रास्ति गतिर्वायो रश्मीनां च विवस्वतः।
तत्रापि प्रविशत्याशु बुद्धिर्बुद्धिमतां सदा ॥

A wise man's wisdom can penetrate to such depths where even wind can not flow or can light reach.

तृष्णे देवि नमस्तुभ्यं याया वित्तान्विता अपि ।
अकृत्येषु नियोज्यन्ते भ्राम्यन्ते दुर्गमेष्वपि ॥

Oh Goddess of greed!! I salute with respect. The reason I do that is because I think you are very powerful. Under your influence even wealthy people (whose needs are satisfied) will wander in desolate areas - forts and hills (searching for money).
