vyAkulo api vipat pAshaiH smaret viShNum sadA hRudI ।
sharatalpa gato bhIShmaH sasmAra garuDadhvajam ॥

- subhAShitaratnabHANDAgAra

If one is anxious, or entangled in lot of troubles - he should continue to think of Vishnu in his heart. That will help him get through it without any problems. Even when Bheeshma was laid to rest on a bed of arrows, he was still thinking of Garudadhvaja (one with eagle flag = Vishnu).

na anRishiH kurute kAvyam na arudraH kramapAThakaH ।
nAdevAmsho dadAti annam na aviShnuH prUthivIpatiH ॥

- subhAShitaratnabhANDAgAra

Only people who are sages (in parts) can be poets. Only people with qualities of Rudra can chant vedas. Only people who have godly qualities will be able to give food to others. Only people with qualities of Vishnu can rule and be good kings.

vipado naiva vipadaH sampado naiva sampadaH।
vipat vismaraNaM visHNoH sampat nArAyaNa smRutiH ॥

Miseries are not real miseries. Wealth is not real wealth. Forgetting Vishnu is the real misery. Remembering him always is the real wealth.

yathA nadInAM prabhavaH samudraH
    yathA AhutInAM prabhavaH hutAshanaH ।
yathA indriyANAM prabhavaM manaH api
    tathA prabhurno bhagavAn upendraH ॥

- madhyamavyAyoga

All rivers flow towards the sea. All offerings end at the pyre (Yajneshwara). All sense organs are controlled and work for the mind. Just like that, the master of all of us is Upendra (Vishnu)

- bhAgavata

If you pour water to the root of a tree, the branches and the leaves feel happy. If the body is fed with life energy, the senses are happy. Just like that, if we worship Lord Vishnu, all other Gods also feel happy.
