महाभारत - शान्ति - राजा

राजानां प्रथमं विन्देत्ततो भार्यां ततो धनम् |
राजन्यसति लोकस्य कुतो भार्या कुतु धनम् ||

One must first find a king (who will protect him). Only then he must find a wife and later wealth. If he can not find a benevolent king, where is the question of wife and wealth.
