न्यायमञ्जरी - वैद्यः

आर्तो हि भिषजं पृष्ट्वा तदुक्तमनुतिष्ठते ।
तस्मिन् सविचिकित्सस्तु व्याधेराधिक्यमाप्नुयात् ॥

Arto hi bhiShajaM pRShTvA taduktam anutiShThate ।
tasmin svichikitsaH astu vyAdheH Adhikyam ApnuyAt ॥

When one is ill, he goes to doctor and takes the prescribed medicine. But while doing that if he doubts the doctor, then the illness will aggravate. This perhaps due the body subconsciously rejecting the medicine.
