सुलभाः पुरुषा राजन् सततं प्रियवादिनः ।
अप्रियस्य तु पथ्यस्य वक्ता श्रोता च दुर्लभः ॥

Oh King! it is very easy to find people who will talk sweetly always. But It is very hard to find people who can talk hard and right at the same time. It is also hard to find people who can listen to such talk.

If some one hurts a noble man, he should not hurt them back. A noble man will always do the right thing - even in the face of enemies. The live up to their reputation of being custodians of morality.

One may get wives in different places (countries) you visit. You may even get new relatives and friends. But I have not yet seen a country where one can get a brother (born from the same womb). (So, Ayodhya is special to me - as told by Rama).

na akAryamasti kruddhasya na avAchyam vidyate kvachit ॥

A angry person can not understand what is to be said and what is to be left unsaid. He can not control himself. He can do anything (wrong) and speak anything (bad). Hence one must refrain from anger.

इन्द्रियाणि पुरा जित्वा त्रिभुवनं त्वया ।
स्मरद्भिरिव तद्वैरमिन्द्रियैरेव निर्जितः ॥

smaradbhiH iva tad vairam indriyaiH eva nirjitaH ॥

At one time you had overcome your senses and conquered the three worlds. Today, as if a revenge, the same senses have got you by their grip and caused your defeat (and death). [As told by Mandodari to Ravana after his death]

यस्तु हित्वा मतं भर्तुः स्वमतं संप्रभाषते |
अनुक्तवादी दूतः सन् स दूतो वधमर्हति ||

It is a messenger's duty to stay true to his masters message (and intentions). Instead of that, if he conveys his own feelings, or tries to convey some thing never told by his master - then he deserves to be killed.

Some ministers have intellect of an animal. Without knowing the intricacies of scriptures, they advise the king with their theories framed by nice words. [A good king should either get rid of such ministers or at least not listen to them]

Before taking up a project, one must do a thorough analysis of pros and cons. If pros over weigh cons, then it must done. If not, the it must be dropped.
