udakumbhe hi udakumbham grAmyaa vahanti nija shirasi
vivadante api anyonya tathaa api na agho jalam patati ।
sanmArga vipravasitaH sthitau hi kasyAmapi vasannevam
sanmaargaat achyutikRut kRutyam samlakShyacheha varteta ॥

- sUktimuktAvalii

In the village ladies can carry pots of water stacked on top of one another with ease. While they carry, they can talk to each other and it seems as though the pots are not bothering them. Not a drop of water spills over too. We must go about out worldly existence like that. One must not stray from the path of morality even when carrying a lot of load and balancing responsibilities.

vane api simhA mRuga mAmsabhakshyA
    bubhikShitA naiva tRuNam charanti।
evaM kulInA vyasanAbhibhUtA
    na nItimArgaM parilanghayanti ॥

- panchatantra, labdhapraNAsha

A lion that is used to eating meat after hunting deer and other creatures will not eat grass even when it is hungry. Just like that, even when troubled by miseries, a person of noble birth (and intentions) will never stray from the path of morality.

- hitopadesha, vigraha

Which bad minister is immune to the after effects of his ill advice? Who does not fall sick after eating bad food? Who does not become arrogant when he becomes rich? Who does death spare? Who does not get agitated (excited) by the pleasure a woman can give.

One must not employ his mind in immoral activities even after he sees virtuous people having to suffer (shed tears) and rogues enjoying all the riches (and leading a luxurious life).
