नाकाले म्रियते जंतुः विद्धः शरशतैरपि ।
कुशकंटकविद्धोऽपि प्राप्तकालो न जीवति ॥

कोऽर्थान् प्राप्य न गर्वितो विषयिणः कस्यापदोऽस्तं गताः
    स्त्रीभिः कस्य न खण्डितं भुवि मनः को नाम राजप्रियः ।
कः कालस्य न गोचरत्वमगमत् कोऽर्थी गतो गौरवं
    को वा दुर्जयदुर्गुणेषु पतितः क्षेमेण जातः पथि ॥

ko arthAn prApya na garvato viShayiNaH kasya aapado astam gatAH

There are two difficult ways of dying honourably. Both are very difficult. One is to be able to reconcile with the supreme being and leave this body as is and die by performing Yoga (that enables you to control your breath). The other is to be in the fore-front of an army and never return from battlefield.

    कं स्त्रीकृता न विषयाः परितापयन्ति ॥
