daantasya kim araNyena tathA adAntasya bhArata ।
yatraiva nivaset dAntaH tat araNyam sa cha AshramaH ॥

- mahAbhArata, shAnti

For a person with restraint, an abundant forest is nothing because he does not wish to own anything more than what he needs. For a person with out restraints, the forest again is not enough because the entire forest can not satiate him. Where ever the ascetic lives, that is a forest – that is also a hermitage.

The stars follow the moon even when Rahu engulfs him (eclipse). When a tree falls down in a forest, the creepers fall along with it. When the tusker gets its foot entangled with lotus plants, the female elephants do not abandon it. It is in the nature of a virtuous wife to follow her husband in glory or misery alike.

Without the forest, the tiger can not survive. Without the tiger in the forest, the forest will get destroyed (by the people). Hence the tiger must protect the forest and forest must protect the tiger (and other animals)

Darkness and a deep forest are alike. They create fear and they also protect those who seek refuge. Look at the theif who steals at night and the person who runs away from him. The forest protects the thief and the darkness protects the other (from the thief)

A single dry tree is enough to cause a forest fire and harm the entire forest. Just like that, one bad person in the family can lead to the destruction of the entire family.

A bed made of soft grass. Seats made of clean stones. Houses under the trees. Pure cold water to drink from the freely flowing streams. Various tubes (like potato) for food. There are animals that help (in their own way). All the luxuries that can be thought of are present in the forest. But it all the facilities lack only one thing - there is no body make use of it.
