सूक्तिमुक्तावली - जगद्व्यापि परमेश्वर

सिन्धौ यद्वन्मुक्ताः सन्त्येव परं जिघृक्षुभिर्यत्नैः
    यावल्लाभं मज्जन रूपः कार्योनिपुणबुद्धिभिस्तद्वत् ।
परमेश्वरोहि नित्यं जगतिव्याप्तः परोक्षविधया वा
    तस्य च साक्षात्कारो भवति हि यत्नैः श्रवणमननाद्यैः ॥

sindhau yadvat muktAH santi eva param jighRukShubhiH yatnaiH
    yAvat lAbham majjana rUpaH kAryaH nipuNa buddhibhiH tadvat।
parameshvaro hi nityam jagati vyAptaH parokShavidhayA vA
    tasya cha sAkShAtkAro bhavati hi yatnaiH shravaNa mananAdyaiH ॥

Everyone is aware that there are pearls in the ocean. But only those who make the effort to dive and use their intelligence to search for it will get them. Similarly, God is everywhere in this creation (world). He is there, not in the form that we expect him to be. But if you want to see him as he is (and realize) then you have to make the effort - by listening to his stories, contemplating on his form and existence, so on.
