सूक्तिमुक्तावली - ईश सेवनात् लाभः

सिन्धोस्तलगतमुक्तालाभो नाभून्निमज्जनादेकात्
    सन्ति न सिन्धौ भूयो नह्यमेयं निमज्जनाल्लाभः ।
एवं श्रीकृष्णाप्तेरुपाय एको विनिष्फलो यातः
    न श्रान्तव्यं पुनरपि श्रवणादिभिरीशसेवनाल्लाभः ॥

sindhoH tala gata mukta alabho na abhUyan nimajjanAt ekaat
    santi na sindhau bhUyo na hi anumeyam nimajjanAt lAbhaH।
evaM shrI kRuShNApteH upAya eko viniShphalo yAtaH
    na shrAntavyam punarapi shravaNAdibhiH iisha sevanAt lAbhaH ॥

If you dive in the ocean only once, you may not get any pearls. But you must not conclude that there are no pearls in the ocean or no pearls at all. You must repeat the effort again and again. You may get it once. Just like that is is not easy to know about the true form of God. One has to keep trying hard to find it by trying again and again by showing devotion in the form of prayers, listening to God's stories and thinking about Him always.
