सूक्तिमुक्तावली - शान्ति मनः

गाधजलपिपास स्याच्चेच्छनकैस्तु पातव्यं
    नोचेदधस्थपङ्कः पेयानुपयोगिजलमलं कुरुते ।
तद्वत्पावित्र्यार्थं दृढतरविश्वासधृक् भूत्वा
    बुद्धिभ्रंशकवादान् विहाय कृष्णं भजेच्छनैर्मनुजः ॥

gAdha jala pipAsa syAt chet shanakaiH pAtavyam
    no chet adhastha pankaH peyAn upayogi jala malam kurute ।
tadvat pAvitryArtham dRuDhatara vishvAsa dhRuk bhUtvA
    buddhi bhramshaka vAdAn vihAya kRuShNam bhajet shaniaH manujaH ॥

If you are thirsty and want to drink water from a lake, you know the one must drink the clear water without disturbing the bottom. If you disturb, then dirt from bottom will contaminate the drinkable water. Similarly, if you want to think about God, you must keep all other argumentative thoughts aside, think about Him only and sing about Krishna in a low melodious tone.
